I have been living in the Palm Springs area (i.e.The Coachella Valley) since 1989.While building a career with a Fortune 500 retailer, I rented small apartments in Palm Springs and then Palm Desert until in 1997 I was able to buy my first home. I couldn’t afford anything I liked in Palm Desert so with the help of my Realtor I made two offers on homes in La Quinta but kept getting out bid. Finally, I succeeded in acquiring a bank owned property in Bermuda Dunes Country Club... and only then because there were so many things wrong with it that nobody else wanted it. But it was huge compared to the tiny apartments I had been living in and perfect for the lifestyle I had always imagined....a fenced yard so I could have a dog, a big living room for a baby grand piano and a set of drums…. and I could afford the $125,000 mortgage. It broke my heart to sell it in 2005 for $410,000, but the $250,000 capital gain helped ease the pain. Not bad for a beginner.
Around the same time I had left retail to create my own Internet Advertising business in an attempt to leverage my education and past experience in Music, Communications, Radio TV & Film. But entrenched old media brands and new media behemoths like Google quickly dominated the field. My gains from the sale of my home all but depleted I had to find some other way to make a living. Because of my past success buying and selling I choose Real Estate.
I obtained my Real Estate Sales license in 2006 and became a full Broker in 2008. With a Broker license I could have started my own firm but decided the benefits of working under the wing of an established larger broker outweighed the benefits of striking out on my own. Despite numerous invitations over the years from outside broker recruiters I have remained with Tarbell Realtors throughout my career until they were acquired by Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in 2019.
During my career I have served clients from every walk of life from first time home buyers to investors to snow birds in the purchase of all kinds of real estate from vacant lots, manufactured homes and condos, to starter homes, move up homes and luxury homes. I personally represent my clients. I do not delegate to less experienced agents. When you hire me you get me. I am my own customer service department and I treat my clients like family and friends. The only time my phone is off is when I am sleeping.
I can’t make a living on any one commission check and advertising can be very expensive. For that reason, most of my sales come from loyal past clients and referrals to their family, friends and neighbors. My purpose is for you to be so outrageously happy with the help I provide that you’ll gladly introduce me to the people you care about most. Not because you feel obligated, but because you truly believe they’ll benefit.
